1. Prehistoric Worlds-Eurypterids - Erie Canal construction (~1900) revealed the presence of prehistoric animals-eurypterids-at Pittsford, New York. The fossils were discovered by Clifton Sarle (1903) and he described new species of arthropods including one named after the town of Pittsford, viz. Eurypterus pittsfordensis.
2. Chautauqua Lake Partnership - Grassroots organization promoting the formation of a lake management district and funding source to restore and maintain the quality of the lake. Includes lake facts, membership information, and goals.
3. Western New York Herpetological Society - A club based in Buffalo and Rochester, concerned with care of reptiles and amphibians. Offers meetings, care sheets, adoptions, and general information.
