"Clovis is a way of life" is the town's motto. Rapidly changing from sleepy farm-town to suburbia, Clovis still manages to maintain a western theme. The biggest social event is the annual Clovis Rodeo in April. Clovis is sometimes considered a suburb of Fresno to its west, but in fact they are two distinctly different cities.
